At 5:00 a.m., we depart south of Cusco, traveling through breathtaking Andean landscapes. Along the way, we make a short stop in Oropesa, where you will have time to use the restrooms before continuing the journey.
Our next destination is the traditional Andean community of Pacchanta, a picturesque village nestled at the foot of the majestic Ausangate Mountain. Here, you will enjoy a delicious traditional Andean breakfast, providing the perfect energy boost before beginning the hike.
From Pacchanta, we begin a moderate guided hike through one of the most spectacular natural settings in the Peruvian Andes. Surrounded by towering mountains, glaciers, and vast alpine grasslands, we will visit the Seven Lakes of Ausangate, a collection of stunning glacial lakes famous for their vibrant colors, ranging from turquoise and emerald green to deep blue. Throughout the trek, you’ll also enjoy breathtaking views of Ausangate Mountain, considered a sacred mountain since Inca times.
After completing the hike, you will have free time to relax, take photographs, and admire the peaceful beauty of this extraordinary landscape while your guide shares fascinating stories and local traditions.
At the end of the excursion, we return to Pacchanta, where a delicious traditional Andean lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients awaits.
Finally, we begin our journey back to Cusco, enjoying the beautiful Andean scenery along the way. We expect to arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. The tour ends at Plaza Regocijo, just a few minutes’ walk from Cusco’s Main Square (Plaza de Armas).
